Obituary for Lola J. Houchins (Rowles)
Lola J. Houchins, 90, of Clearfield died on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Clearfield.
She was born on July 21, 1928 in Woodland, a daughter of the late Charles and Susie (Peters) Rowles.
Mrs. Houchins worked at Clearfield Hospital for over 30 years. In her free time she liked to knit, crotchet, and take care of her garden. She also enjoyed going to lunch with her friends.
She is survived by her two sons, James Houchins of Clearfield, and Jack W. Houchins, Jr. of Clearfield; a grandson, Craig Houchins; and three great-grandchildren, Stacey, Tyler, and Jacob.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack J. Houchins on May 10, 1991. She was also preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.
Funeral services will be held at the Beardsley Funeral Home and Crematory, Clearfield on Wednesday at 11 AM with Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating. Interment will follow in the Bradford Cemetery, Clearfield.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday from 4-7 PM and Wednesday from 10-11 AM.
